Battle Ground Public Schools to host plant sales

A variety of annual and perennial bedding and flowering plants, as well as vegetable starts and hanging baskets grown in Battle Ground Public Schools greenhouses by students and staff, will be available for purchase at upcoming public sales.

Sales will be drop-in, with no prior registration required, except for the sale on the Center for Agriculture, Science and Environmental Education campus, which will include one day by appointment only and one day of drop-ins, a school newsletter stated.

Money raised from these sales supports the district’s horticulture and FFA programs and welding teams.

Sales locations and dates are as follows:



Center for Agriculture, Science and Environmental Education: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 27, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 11104 NE 149th St., Brush Prairie. NatureScaping members are welcome to visit at noon by appointment, and non-members are welcome after noon by appointment. On Sunday the sale will be public with no appointment required.

Prairie High School: 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, May 8, to Sunday, May 10, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, May 11, 11311 NE 119th St., Vancouver.

Battle Ground High School: 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 18, 300 W. Main St., Battle Ground.
