Fifteen people can win a raised garden bed that will be built for them through the Cowlitz County branch of the Washington State University Extension Office.

The flower beds will include soil.

The beds will be provided through the Home Vegetable Educational Garden (VEG) Program, which aims to promote vegetable gardening in Cowlitz County, a news release stated.

To receive an application, call Gary Fredericks at 360-577-3014, ext. 3 or email garyf@wsu.edu. Applications are due March 30.

According to the release, those who receive the garden bed will also have access to a mentor who will answer questions about gardening.
