The Alpaca Association of Western Washington (AAWW) will kick off their official show season with Alpacapalooza, which will take place Sat. & Sun., April 5 & 6, at the Clark County Event Center, 17402 NE Delfel Rd., Ridgefield.
This two-day event aims to highlight the growing alpaca population and industry in the Pacific Northwest. This will be the fourth consecutive year that the event will be held at the Clark County Event Center. Prior to being held at the Clark County Event Center, the event was staged in Puyallup, but the current site offers a bigger venue with indoor facilities, climate control and other amenities which makes it perfect for the alpacas and their handlers.
The Alpacapalooza event will include judging, a halter show, fleece judging and photo contest, presentations, a silent auction and a “happy hour” social and Herdsire auction in the show ring.
Admission is free for both days, but event center parking is $6. More information on this annual event can be found at www.alpacawa.org.
