Residents can help local families in need during the annual “Stuff the Bus” food drive from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 4, in the Walmart parking lot, 1201 SW 15th Ave., Battle Ground.
The Battle Ground Public School Employees Union is hosting the event, with a school bus at the Walmart ready to receive and deliver food items to the North County Community Food Bank.
Residents are encouraged to donate non-perishable food, paper products, personal hygiene items and more during the food drive. Volunteers will load the items onto the bus, which will deliver them to the food bank.
Cash donations are also welcome. Checks to the North County Community Food Bank can be left with volunteers during the food drive or mailed to the food bank at P.O. Box 2106, Battle Ground, 98604.
