Letter to the editor: We no longer have a constitution that protects our rights

Posted

I just returned from having my blood drawn at the Salmon Creek lab at the Vancouver clinic. I am very upset over the conservation I had with the phlebotomist because it substantiated the fact that we no longer have a constitution that protects our rights.

Here’s the conversation:

Me: Wow. Didn’t even feel that. You are terrific and very good at your job.

Phlebotomist: Maybe not for much longer.

Me: Why not?

Phlebotomist: I may get fired for not getting vaccinated for religious reasons.

Me: Oh no. I feel sick to my stomach. What a waste that would be.

Even if I believe in getting vaccinated, this is tyrannical and depressing to see what is happening to our government.
