Letter to the editor: There are too many questions to vote for Gluesenkamp Perez

Posted

Why is Marie Gluesenkamp Perez receiving Oregon election ballots at her home in Washougal? Her track record shows she registered there in 2019 while she was registered and voting in Washington state.

Why didn’t our Secretary of State catch this in the monthly “audit” they do in order to prevent double voting? I do not know if she voted in Oregon but I do know that she is getting a ballot. Oregon law says that if you do not vote in two general elections you become inactive thus she shouldn’t be getting a ballot in 2022 especially if she contacted them and informed the elections office that she wasn’t a legally registered voter in Oregon. Is this one more argument against motor voter registration or was this intentional? Some people are claiming it is because she registered an automobile for her company. I owned companies in Oregon and the automobiles were registered under the company name. Even if it wasn’t, the answer to that last one should be no, it wasn’t a glitch because the 2015 Oregon law says that DMV is supposed to automatically register a person who is a citizen when they get a driver’s license or ID card, not any other transaction and they ask the citizenship status in order to issue a different type of  license. Did she vote in Oregon because I know she voted in Washington. Too many questions to consider voting for her.
