I watched with interest the most recent debate between Joe Kent and Marie Gluesenkamp Perez vying for the 3rd District Congressional seat.
I believe the most important question from the panel was about preserving our democracy. To me, no other issue comes close in importance because all other issues can only be solved legitimately by a true and robust democracy.
I think Joe Kent is smart enough to know that the 2020 election wasn’t stolen but couldn’t say as much during the debate. This is because, as we all know, he wouldn’t be in this were it not for Donald Trump who needs us to suspend our common sense to buy his stolen-election nonsense. I voted for Jaime Herrera Beutler every time and will always admire her courage. We need her type in Congress.
If you attempt to take down my country’s precious democracy with absurd election-denier fiction and violent attacks, or support those that do, you won’t get my vote. It’s not a media thing. It’s an integrity thing. The ends never justify the means. I don’t agree with everything Marie Gluesenkamp Perez says, but this election I am voting for her, and I ask my neighbors to join me. We need a representative who can be loyal to the voters and the ideals of democracy instead of pledging their politics to a self-interested bad loser who fears legitimate elections.
