In Loving Memory of William Allen Brosseau: 1957-2026

Posted

William Allen Brosseau passed away peacefully on October 26, 2026, in Chandler, Arizona, at the age of 69. Born October 5, 1957, in Vancouver, Washington, to Fred and Twila Brosseau, William grew up in Battle Ground alongside his sister, Linda, and brother, John, on the Brosseau family farm. Blessed with a natural ability to talk to anyone in the room, he was known throughout his life for his quick one-liners and legendary capacity for telling a tall tale.

A proud graduate of Pacific University, William carried his love for his alma mater and the Pacific Boxers throughout his life. Beyond his academic accomplishments, his true passion lay with the Silver and Black: he was a die-hard, devoted Raiders fan through every triumph and tough season. Game days were sacrosanct, best enjoyed surrounded by good company, loud cheers, and plenty of spirited conversation.

Above all, Willie was a master storyteller—or as those who knew and loved him best would affectionately say, a master bullshitter. He had an unmatched gift for turning everyday encounters into unforgettable epics. These stories were fueled by his many adventures over the years working with “Fishing the West” and Portland Wrestling, allowing him the opportunity to travel through several countries and meet a variety of colorful characters. His charismatic personality made him an unforgettable presence wherever he went.

Willie’s greatest pride and legacy, however, remains his family and friends. He lived for the time spent with his loved ones and was deeply grateful for the amazing group of lifelong friends who kept him going. He is survived by his children—Curtis (Stephanie), Christine (Mike), stepchildren Tyler (Brittany) and Scott—and his cherished grandchildren: Jack, William, Aubrey, Oliver, and Ingrid; his sister, Linda Niday; his brother, John (Donna); and several nephews and nieces. He held a special place in his heart for his former wives, Patti (Garver) and Brenda (Brosseau), both of whom he loved wholeheartedly and with whom he spent most of his adult life. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and celebrated every time the Raiders take the field.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for November 25th in Battle Ground.
