Botanical garden seeks volunteers for annual sale

NatureScaping of Southwest Washington is seeking volunteers for its annual plant sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, April 27, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, April 28, at the Wildlife Botanical Gardens, 11000 NE 149th St., Brush Prairie.

Volunteers are needed for the following positions:

Greeters and check-in: These helpers will distribute plant lists, guide new customers, check receipts and check in volunteers.

Field helper: These volunteers help customers with selections by pulling plants from trenches and moving soil.

Holding area: These volunteers hold plant loads while customers continue shopping.



Baggers: These helpers dip bare root trees in water before bagging them.

Checkers: These volunteers write sales slips for the cashiers.

Confirmed volunteers will receive further information on volunteers’ orientation and job descriptions and free plant pick-up. Those who work a four-hour shift will receive a complimentary bare-root tree, shrub or perennial plant.
