The Woodland City Council welcomed two new members and reaffirmed three returning ones during a well-attended meeting Monday, Dec. 15. Mayor Todd Dinehart administered the oath of office to newly elected councilmembers: Brittny Michaelson, who will represent Position 2, and Jennifer De Luz, who will represent Position 6, along with the re-appointment of John “JJ” Burke, Melissa Doughty and Jason Friend. The ceremony drew a large audience to the council chambers, with applause filling the room as each official was sworn in. Michaelson and De Luz will step up to the dais and begin their council terms in January.
