The Ridgefield Art Association will host its annual “Whimsy” art exhibit from Wednesday, June 4, through Thursday, June 26, at the Ridgefield Community Library, 210 N. Main Ave., Ridgefield.
The exhibit invites RAA members to explore playful and imaginative themes through paintings, sculptures and other visual media. Artworks are intended to reflect joy, curiosity and the creative spirit, a news release from the association stated.
A public reception where guests can meet the artists and learn more about their work will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Saturday, June 7.
RAA members may submit up to two pieces for consideration by emailing entry information and a JPG image to Brenda Berg at bberg007@comcast.net by Friday, May 23. A $5 fee is required for each submission, and all artwork must be ready to hang using D-rings and museum wire, the news release stated.
The exhibit will be open during regular library hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and Thursday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
