Volunteers needed for county, city of Vancouver policy group

Posted

The Clark County and city of Vancouver councils are seeking two volunteers who have lived experience with homelessness to be a part of a policy group.

The position would serve for about 12 months. A specific end date will be decided later, according to a news release.

Group members should expect to meet at least once per quarter with the possibility of additional meetings.

The Joint Executive Group addresses challenges faced by those who are homeless and the impacts it has on the community, stated the release.

In October 2020, an agreement between the county and the city allowed for more collaboration to make policy suggestions about homelessness for consideration among government officials, the release stated.

Those interested must submit a resume and letter of interest to Michell Pfenning by mail at P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666-5000 or by email at michelle.pfenning@clark.wa.gov.

Applications are due before 5 p.m. August 13.
