A 26-year-old Toutle woman died in a single-vehicle collision on Spirit Lake Highway next to Silver Lake Thursday morning, according to a news release from the Washington State Patrol.
According to the release, Faith E. Jones was traveling westbound in a 1997 GMC Suburban near milepost 8 at about 6:47 a.m. Nov. 20 when her vehicle “left the road to the right shoulder and struck a power pole.”
Jones was announced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been notified.
State troopers said Jones was wearing a seatbelt.
The cause of the accident is under investigation, according to the state patrol. It is unknown whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the incident.
