The 2026 Hockinson Fun Days Parade drew thousands of residents to Northeast 159th Street and Northeast 182nd Avenue on Saturday, May 30. Organized by the Hockinson School District, the Hockinson High School AAA Boosters Club and local volunteers, the annual event featured 50 parade entries from schools, businesses, civic groups and equestrian organizations.

The parade was part of a two-day celebration that included Friday night bingo, a pancake breakfast, a marketplace bazaar and a community carnival inside the community center. Organizers reported that attendance at Friday night bingo rose by about 20% compared to last year.

“This is truly a community event … and just brings everybody out here across generations to have a good time,” Kara Kadow, who recently took the role of Hockinson Fun Days event coordinator, said. “I just love interacting with everyone. It's a great event.”

Parade entries were judged in several categories. Hockinson Market received the Best Float Entry award, the Hockinson High School Band was recognized for Best Performance Entry, First Student’s Hockinson school bus drivers won Best Motorized Entry, Latigo N Lace Equestrian earned Best Animal Entry and Brush Prairie Singers took home Best Youth Entry.
