Summer day camps planned for Ridgefield through YMCA

Children can attend a variety of week-long summer day camps this year hosted by the City of Ridgefield and the Clark County Family YMCA.

The camps will include different activities aimed at learning through discovery, according to a news release. Children ages 4 to 6 can participate in camps with themes of cooking, sports, performing arts, creative media arts and STEM, also known as science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The activities will run between June 21 and August 27 at the Ridgefield Outdoor Recreation Complex and Bennett Hall at Abrams Park, states the release.

“We are thrilled to bring YMCA camps to Ridgefield,” said Jennifer Lawrence, YMCA senior program director. “We believe camp is beneficial for all kids. No matter what your child’s interests are, camp helps children develop skills, build self-confidence, make new friends and strengthen a sense of belonging. Sign up your kids for camp and make this summer the best ever.”
