The Washington State Department of Health has suspended the license of a registered nurse in Clark County.

A Jan. 3 news release stated the Nursing Commission suspended the license of registered nurse Donald J. Schaefer in November. Schaefer surrendered his license in Oregon after the Oregon State Board of Nursing found he failed to comply with a disciplinary order requiring toxicology testing.

Information about disciplinary action taken against medical doctors and physician assistants can be found on the Washington Medical Commission (WMC) website. Questions about WMC disciplinary actions can be sent to media@wmc.wa.gov.
