Ridgefield has opened recruitment for its next police chief as Cathy Doriot prepares to retire after more than 37 years with the department, including three years as chief.
Doriot will remain in the position until a successor is selected to ensure a smooth transition, according to a City of Ridgefield news release.
The city is seeking an experienced law enforcement professional to oversee department operations and provide leadership in the fast-growing community. The initial application review is scheduled for Friday, June 12.
