Ridgefield School District (RSD) educators Kara Breuer and Coral Yee are earning local recognition for their work supporting students and strengthening the learning community.
Ridgefield High School teacher Breuer earned the College of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Adjunct Award from the University of Portland, according to an RSD news release. Breuer, an environmental chemist, teaches in the university’s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and has contributed to developing hands-on laboratory curriculum and research opportunities for students.
The Washington Library Association selected district librarian Yee as a Secondary School Librarian Award recipient. Yee supports students and staff across multiple RSD schools and libraries and works closely with teachers to strengthen instruction and promote digital literacy.
The association will formally recognize Yee with a certificate and complimentary membership at its awards luncheon on Saturday, April 18.
