A small but vocal group of protestors gathered in steady rain on Thursday, May 15, at the Pioneer Street and Royle Road roundabout in Ridgefield to oppose Elon Musk’s role in recent federal workforce cuts and executive actions by Donald Trump.
Organized by “Ridgefield Community Group: A Progressive Organizing Group,” the demonstration targeted proposed budget changes affecting Social Security, Medicare, veterans’ benefits and public education. It was the group’s second protest at the intersection, and organizers said similar demonstrations are planned through the end of May.
