Nominations for the City of Ridgefield’s annual Make a Difference Awards, which recognizes individuals and organizations meaningfully impacting the community, are now open.
Each Ridgefield community member may nominate two individuals and one organization until Friday, Feb. 21. Each nomination should include a brief description of what the individual or organization did in 2024 to better the community, a news release by the City of Ridgefield stated. Nominations are available online at shorturl.at/yYQf4.
“The spirit of Ridgefield is defined by the people who care about our community and show up every day to support it. It’s the volunteers and organizations who dedicate their time and energy to making our community a better place” Mayor Matt Cole stated in the news release. “These awards provide an opportunity to recognize and celebrate their contributions.”
Last year’s Make a Difference Award winners were Ridgefield Multicultural Festival coordinator Megan Dudley and the Ridgefield Family Resource Center.
