Ridgefield celebrates Independence Day in full red, white, orange and blue spirit
Veterans from Ridgefield’s American Legion kicked off the city’s Fourth of July parade Friday morning, earning loud applause. Thousands lined the streets of downtown as Ridgefield’s annual Fourth of July celebration continued. The parade ran from Third Avenue to Pioneer Street and up Eighth Avenue. From Ridgefield High School’s Spudder to lasso-spinning riders, the event brought out a wide range of community groups, performers and local icons.
