Despite the heavy rain and occasional wind on the first two official days of summer, the Woodland community brought the energy and packed the sidewalks for the Planters Days parade on Saturday, June 21, and other festivities that went on from Thursday, June 19, through Sunday, June 22.
Dozens of parade entries and the hundreds of people along the parade route sported their very best rain gear, whether it was ponchos, tent covers, umbrellas, rain jackets or other means, on Saturday, June 21. The wet conditions provided a true Pacific Northwest experience for the parade that featured logging themes, a Rainier beer delivery truck and more classic PNW vibes.
