Port of Woodland leases four new businesses in 2025

The Port of Woodland has fully leased out its industrial properties, adding four new businesses under leases that will remain active for the next five years.

Last week, Port Director Jennifer Wray-Keene announced four companies have signed agreements to lease properties, immediately adding 50 new jobs in Woodland. Wray-Keene expects that number to double as the businesses settle and expand.

“We’re excited about these new companies coming here,” Wray-Keene said. “It meets our mission for bringing in new industries focusing on manufacturing, production wage jobs. And these are companies that are from the region, they have people that work and live here in Woodland, so that was really important to the commission to encourage businesses to hire from our community or people looking to move here and work here.”

In 2025, the port will welcome the following companies:

Rajeff Sports, LLC
• Industry: Manufacturer of Echo fly-fishing rods
• Previous location: Vancouver
• New location: Rose Way Industrial Park, Building 2

Van Raden Industries
• Industry: Heavy-haul equipment manufacturing
• Previous location: Vancouver
• New location: Schurman Way Industrial Park

Maverick Corporation

• Industry: Specialized truck accessories (e.g., racks, boxes, flatbeds)
• Previous location: Amboy
• New location: Down River Drive Industrial Park

Northwest Garage Cabinets Company
• Industry: Custom cabinetry for garage, industrial, commercial and residential use
• Previous location: Ridgefield
• New location: Down River Drive Industrial Park

Additionally, Hamilton Drywall has renewed its lease with the port and will move into Rose Way Industrial Park’s Building 1. Their former site at Schurman Way will be leased by Van Raden Industries.

Wray-Keene noted that competitive lease costs and proximity to Interstate 5 made the port’s properties appealing to businesses. All four companies are expected to help maintain and grow Woodland’s industrial, production and manufacturing job base.

“The other piece that was [appreciated] by the commission was several of these companies are family-owned companies. This goes with the concept of, you know, the longevity of these companies, the ability to expand and financially support the industry that they’re working in,” Wray-Keene said.

The Rose Way Industrial Park’s two existing buildings opened for lease in June after breaking ground in 2021. The port has also laid the groundwork for the construction of four additional buildings at the park, which have yet to begin.

In an upcoming meeting, the port commission will review priorities for constructing these additional buildings, considered a top priority among the port’s other projects. The meeting will be held at 9 a.m. on Dec. 6 in the Port of Woodland Commission Room, 1608 Guild Road, Woodland.
