Ridgefield residents can weigh in on a proposed roadway connecting the city to Interstate 5 during a drop-in open house Thursday, Nov. 12.
The event will run from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on the second floor of the TMI Building at 101 Mill St., Ridgefield. City staff will be available to explain the project, answer questions and gather public feedback, according to a City of Ridgefield news release.
The Ridgefield I-5 South Connector Study began in 2021 to address transportation challenges tied to the area’s population and economic growth. The current phase, Stage II, focuses on evaluating potential routes, conducting environmental analyses and identifying a preliminary preferred alternative, according to the project website.
The proposed connector would link the area near NW Hillhurst Road and NW 31st Avenue to the I-5 interchange at NE 219th Street, also known as the Battle Ground exit. The city and Clark County are working together on the project.
The open house materials are available online at shorturl.at/zqMkV, where the public can also submit feedback from Nov. 12 through Dec. 4.
