Three law enforcement officers and the suspect who led a high-speed chase on Interstate 5 on June 3 have been identified by the Southwest Washington Independent Investigative Team.
The officers were identified as Washington State Troopers Josh Bacheller and Evan Tippets, both based out of the Washington State Patrol Kelso detachment, and Cowlitz Tribal Police Officer Austin Moore. All officers were placed on critical incident leave.
The suspect was identified as Vencine Hadley, 47, who was shot and received treatment at an area hospital, the investigative team stated. Following treatment he was booked into Clark County Jail for outstanding warrants and new charges of attempting to elude and unlawful firearm possession.
According to state court records, Vincine had his first appearance in Clark County Superior Court for the new charges June 10. He is scheduled for an arraignment for those charges June 24.
