NatureScaping to host mason beekeeping class

Posted

NatureScaping Wildlife Botanical Gardens will host a class to teach people how to care for mason bees.

Brigg Franklin, a master composter and recycler who is also a mason beekeeper, will demonstrate how to attract mason bees with hands-on instruction. Participants will help clean cocoons for NatureScaping’s plant sale in the spring and will go home with their own bee cocoons.

The meeting will be held at the Prairie High School Commons area, 11311 NE 119th St. in Vancouver from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16.

The class is free for NatureScaping members or $15 for non-members. A yearlong membership is $15 for seniors and $25 for everyone else.
