Master’s Bible Church breaks ground in Brush Prairie

Posted

Master’s Bible Church held a groundbreaking ceremony Saturday, Oct. 17, at 14714 NE 152nd Ave. in Brush Prairie, where church members used golden shovels to mark a step toward establishing a permanent home in the area.

The church, established in 2017, is led by pastor-teacher Joey DeRuntz. The congregation first met in a house in Brush Prairie before outgrowing the location. In 2020, the building used for services closed, and the congregation began meeting remotely. The church later met in Portland for a time before moving to Camas, according to its website.

In December 2021, Emmanuel Baptist Church in Vancouver opened its doors to Master’s Bible Church. The congregations share a building at 14810 NE 28th St. in Vancouver and will continue to do so until construction of the new church is complete.
