Battle Ground police officers and Fire District 3 personnel responded to a call of a person lying in a ditch of water on Southeast Grace Avenue near Southeast Third Street just before 7:55 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 6.
Paramedics from Fire District 3 declared the man deceased, stated a news release. Officers from Battle Ground and the Clark County medical examiner are investigating.
On Jan. 10, the medical examiner identified the man as Dennis McEachern, 68, of Battle Ground. The cause and manner of death are still pending.
