Love Street Playhouse’s upcoming theatrical performance “The Miracle Worker” will debut at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at Love Street Playhouse, 126 Loves Ave., Woodland. “The Miracle Worker” is a historical drama following the growth of Annie Sullivan and her blind and deaf student, Hellen Keller.
Showings will run Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Feb. 14 through March 9. There will also be performances on Thursday, Feb. 27, and March 6. Showings are at 7:30 p.m., except for additional Sunday and Saturday matinees at 2 p.m., a press release by Love Street Playhouse stated.

“The Miracle Worker,” written by William Gibson, tells the story of Helen Keller’s journey to learning communication as a blind and deaf individual. Teacher Annie Sullivan is hired to tutor Keller. After many weeks, the pair reaches a breakthrough that allows them to communicate. Keller then begins to experience the joys that life with communication can bring, the press release stated.
The play features cast members Katie Norcross as Annie Sullivan, Amelia Benson as Helen Keller, Kilee Rheinsburg as Kate Keller, Tim Klein as Captain Keller, Alex Hugo as James Keller, Jeaudelle ViDelco as Aunt Ev, Janet Andrews as Viney, Michael Reid as Anagnos and the doctor, Haidynne Hofstetter as Percy, Penny Walker as Martha, Harper Holland as Sarah and Killian Harwood as Jimmie, the release stated.
The creative team behind “The Miracle Worker” includes director Brenda McGinnis, Lou Pallotta, Melinda Pallotta, Mikail Nordquist, Ahmad-Daniel Santos, David Bareford, Michele Glover, Michael Reid and Alex Girard, the release stated.
Love Street Playhouse was founded in 2007 with the vision of having a community theater where the “participation by and for the community of Woodland, Washington, would help create a cultural space to learn and grow,” according to the theater’s website.
