Letter to the editor: We need to vote out those people

Posted

I don’t understand our elected officials. When are they going to wake up?

Since President Joe Biden shut down the Keystone Pipeline and other means of drilling, things have gotten out of hand. Many people cannot afford an electric vehicle and with the cost of fuel for the ones we have and the means to heat our home has gotten out of line. The last time I had to put fuel in my car it was $4.19 a gallon for regular.

I use my car once a week to get groceries on sale and to go to medical appointments.

Soon the farmers will need to do what they have done. Can they afford the fuel for their equipment?

I don’t know who convinced the president to shut down the one thing that made us energy independent, but we need to vote out those people and get back to being a free country again.

At 82-plus years of age, on social security, we need to let our government know how we feel.
