Letter to the editor: Treatment of Trump reminds me of Abraham Lincoln quote on press

Posted

All the vitriol against President Donald Trump reminds me of Abraham Lincoln’s response when asked what he thought about  the harsh criticism in the press.

It has been reported that he said that it reminded him of the man that was asked what he thought about his being tarred, feathered and run out of town on a rail.

He replied, “If it wasn’t for the honor of the thing he would rather walk.”
