I experienced a medical emergency late at night on June 3. My wife called 911. The first responders were two EMTs (Mel and Dustin, I believe) from Clark County Fire District No 3. We were amazed at their speed, efficiency and friendliness. It seemed that my wife had barely hung up the phone and they were coming down our driveway. They came into our home, assessed the situation and waited for the ambulance to arrive. They were pleasant, calming, non-intrusive and kind. We felt secure in their presence and energy. Like my wife said, “It was like having good neighbors with a needed skill drop in at our time of need.” We pay taxes that help support Fire District 3. We never realized the impact this had on our personal lives until last night.
