Letter to the editor: Choose your pilot carefully

Posted

Gov Co is operating two airlines in competition with each other. Pilots are tasked with getting passengers aboard their flights.  Despite a pretend interest in passenger welfare, the primary focus of each pilot, with a few rare exceptions, is to attract as many passengers as possible. Passengers mean power, control, and money. Some pilots have no flight experience but promise safe on-time arrivals.  Some do not trust the controllers in the towers, claiming they are out of touch with what happens on the ground. Choose your pilot carefully. Your future may depend on it.
