This is a message to those engaging in violent activities in Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle and beyond.
Instead of resorting to chaos, destruction and aimless rebellion, consider stepping back and embracing self-reflection. Stop playing Grand Theft Auto, real life edition, and go home.
At home, put down the game controller, turn off the game console, disconnect from toxic online spaces and step outside. Breathe in fresh air, engage with nature, get some exercise and read a book. Find balance in your life instead of feeding into the media outrage factory and click bait negativity.
Life presents struggles to everyone. Blaming others for your circumstances is an excuse to avoid taking responsibility. Accept that challenges are inevitable, and how you navigate them defines you.
You are not the center of the universe, but you are the central force in your own life. Own your mistakes. Stop deflecting blame. Recognize that self-improvement starts with accountability. Be that better person that you want others to be.
Dedicate yourself to personal growth and become the person who lifts others up instead of dragging them down.
Remember, life is good and we are only here for as long as we are. So enjoy it by embracing it and all the wonderful things it has to offer.
