The community is invited to attend a joint town hall, hosted by legislators from Washington’s 18th and 20th districts, from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 3, at Battle Ground City Hall, located at 109 SW First St, Battle Ground.
Reps. Stephanie McClintock and John Ley of the 18th District will be joined by Reps. Ed Orcutt and Peter Abbarno of the 20th District to review the 2025 legislative session, which ends Sunday, April 27. The discussion will focus on the state’s three budgets, new taxes passed during the session and recently approved bills, a news release by Washington State House Republicans stated.
The town hall offers an opportunity for constituents to ask questions and share feedback with their elected representatives.
McClintock, R-Vancouver, serves as the ranking Republican on the House Consumer Protection and Business Committee and as assistant ranking member on the Capital Budget Committee. She also serves on the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee.
Ley, R-Vancouver, sits on the House Environment and Energy, Postsecondary Education and Workforce, and Transportation committees.
Orcutt, R-Kalama, is the ranking Republican on the Finance Committee and also serves on the Agriculture and Natural Resources and Transportation committees.
Abbarno, R-Centralia, is the House Republican Caucus Chair and assistant ranking member on the Capital Budget Committee. He also serves on the Consumer Protection and Business, Environment and Energy, and Rules committees.
