The City of La Center is launching a new online permitting system where residents can submit requests for building, land use and engineering permits.
The online system, powered by the Cloudpermit platform, is scheduled to go live in June, according to a news release from the city.
The transition to online permitting is funded by a $194,500 grant from the Washington State Department of Commerce, the news release stated.
In addition to permit applications, the system will allow users to submit code enforcement concerns, communicate with staff, request inspections and receive status updates.
Physical applications will still be accepted during the transition, but residents and contractors are encouraged to begin using the online system, the release stated.
Instructions for creating an account and using Cloudpermit are available at support.cloudpermit.com.
