In loving memory of Thomas Floyd Haugen: 1948-2021

 Thomas Floyd Haugen, 73, passed away in Portland, Oregon, on Sept. 4, 2021. 

He was born on April 19, 1948 to Alben Haugen and Barbara O'Neill in Malta, Montana. Tom graduated from Battle Ground High School. 

He had three children, Quent and Shawn from his first marriage to Lorraine, and Erica from his second marriage to Debbie. 

Tom worked at Blount in Milwaukie, Oregon for 35 years. He was an extremely dedicated worker and loved being active. He bowled several 300 games and received rings for his achievements. Tom spent many days on the softball field. He continued his love of sports by cheering on the Seattle Seahawks and Portland Trailblazers. He rode his bike around town until his last days. He treasured his many lifelong friends and was very proud of his family. 

He is survived by his three children Quent Haugen of La Center, Washington, Shawn Story of La Center, Washington, and Erica Haugen of Canby, Oregon; four grandchildren Hunter Haugen, Linzy Story, Jace Story and Olivia Jaime; his sister Bonnie Cochran of Missouri; and his brothers Mike Cooley of Alabama, Bill Cooley of Tennessee, and David Cooley of Washington. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to either Alcoholics Anonymous, Foundation For Alcoholism Research, SAMHSA, or The Salvation Army. 

There will be a graveside service for family at a later date.
