Rosemary Evelyn (Ritola) Hallstrom, 84, was born on Jan. 30, 1940, in Jamestown, North Dakota, to Charles and Sophia Ritola.
She went to her heavenly home surrounded by her loving family on Aug. 26, 2024, in Brush Prairie, Washington, after suffering with dementia.
Rosemary moved from Gackle, North Dakota, to Brush Prairie, Washington, at the age of 8. She enjoyed school and graduated from Battle Ground High School in 1958. She married Leslie Hallstrom on Dec. 25, 1960, and they raised their family in Brush Prairie. Rosemary was artistic and she loved to garden, travel and spend time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, and she and Les held a firm belief in this living doctrine. They set that example for their children.
Rosemary is survived by three sons, Joseph with Karen, of Yacolt, Washington, Albert with Cindy, and Victor with Rhonda, of Battle Ground, Washington; four daughters, Caroline with Kenneth Chapman, Barbara with Ted Erickson, Kristine with Dean Cahoon, and Kathleen with Randall Massie, all of Yacolt; 37 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; two brothers, David and Irvin Ritola; three sisters-in-law, Lola with Jack Massie, Joyce with Jim Wood and Mary with Don Sasse; numerous nieces and nephews; and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Les; son, Louis; parents, Charlie and Sophie; two brothers, Paul and Edward Ritola; and two great-grandsons, Tate and Scotty Hallstrom.
