It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Marvin (Marv) John Wirkkala, of Woodland, Washington, on March 31, 2025, at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (McGivney) Wirkkala, of 62 years; three children and their spouses, Jeffery (Dede), Wesley (Sophia), and Dennis (Kristi); 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother Dale (Terry) Wirkkala; sister Marian (Jim) Haro; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Marv was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Wirkkala (West); sisters Jean (Dave) Ringer and Margie (Robert) Goldsby. Marv worked in commercial construction as a union carpenter/superintendent for 30 years. He and his family enjoyed camping and fishing while the kids were growing up. In later years, he and his wife enjoyed traveling in their RV.
There will be a private celebration of life for the family in the summer.
