Mrs. Arretta “Mae” Boynton, 96, passed away Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021 in Vancouver, Washington.
She was born April 13, 1925 in Virginia to Ben and Della (Blankenship) Lavender and was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Joseph L. Boynton.
Mae is survived by two sons and a daughter, Ron Boynton, Lawrence Boynton and Marilyn Yinger; two daughters-in-law Sandy Boynton and Kay Boynton; five grandchildren Becki Quick, Eric Yinger, Amy Yinger, Rachel Boynton and Ruth Boynton; three great-grandchildren Madison Mae Yinger, Camden Yinger and CJ Quick. She leaves many other family members and friends who will deeply miss her.
Mae was known for her wicked sense of humor, amazing crochet skills, her love of cats, and years of volunteering with Peace Health Hospital.
Mae was a lifelong member of Elim Lutheran Church in Hockinson, Washington and a woman of strong faith.
Viewing and funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Dec. 3, 2021 at Layne’s Funeral Home, 16 NE Clark Ave., Battle Ground, Washington 98604.
