In Loving Memory Of Lenee McDaniel 1968 ~ 2023

Posted

Lenee Marie McDaniel, born Dec. 16, 1968, in Redondo Beach, California, went to be with her Lord on Dec. 13, 2023. Lenee had been battling cancer for almost three years.

A woman of unwavering faith, Lenee found solace in her relationship with Jesus. She loved spending quality time with her family, having meals together, playing golf, traveling and, more recently, corn hole. She was loved by many, and her sweet smile and loving compassion will be missed by all. Lenee served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, her entire life, and she is a living testimony to his love, compassion and forgiveness. May her life inspire all of us to cherish loved ones and to embrace life with the same zest and love that she did.

Lenee was a wonderful volleyball coach and became a math specialist teacher at Ridgefield High School in Ridgefield, Washington, where she touched many students' lives. She loved playing volleyball and received a full scholarship to the University of Florida. She graduated from Azusa Pacific University and as a senior was named NAIA National Volleyball Player of the Year. Lenee loved all sports but had an affinity for golf. In addition to sports, she loved music and played a number of musical instruments over the years.

Lenee, at a young age up until she left, was always involved in her church, where she sang, led worship, played guitar and flute and led bible studies. She learned to serve her Lord at an early age, and she was dearly loved by everyone.

Lenee is survived by her devoted husband, Cory McDaniel; her children Valera and wife, Irina, Vanea, Maria and Logan Summers and wife, Jillian; her father and mother, Dennis and Judy Hill; her two brothers, Jake Dean-Hill and wife, Jennifer, and Joshua Hill and wife, Heidi; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

flIn lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Giving Closet, 2804 B NE 65th Ave., Vancouver, WA 98661, givingcloset.org/ donate, in memory of Lenee McDaniel.
