In loving memory of Kent Brady

Kent Michael Brady passed away unexpectedly from natural causes due to type one diabetes on June 29, 2021.

Kent is survived by his parents, Lee and Kim Brady; older brother, Derek Brady; and grandmothers, Helen Jacobsen, Suzi Williams, Annette Brady and Shirley Brady. He also has many aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Kent considered his close friends his family, too. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Joseph Williams, Jerry Morgan and Gary Brady.

Kent was employed at the 1st Choice Market in Battle Ground for many years where he will always be remembered by the patrons for his quick wit, dry humor and the ability to treat everyone fairly. Kent was willing to help others with his generosity and kind words throughout his short life. He was fearless as a child, the first to ride a bike at 3 years old, roar around on a small three-wheeler or catapult himself off the high dive. During his school years, he was active in baseball, basketball, soccer, football and Taekwondo. After graduation from Bethel High School, Kent was employed at McChord Air Force Base before moving to Battle Ground. Kent was a voracious reader of history and adored first edition novels by Dan Brown. He had a soft spot for his 27-pound cat, Kobe, and all other animals.

Kent was born Sept. 7 at Williams Air Force Base in Arizona and lived in California, Louisiana and Washington.

The outpouring of support for Kent at his celebration of life from friends, family and the community was greatly appreciated. Thank you! Please send any memories or stories you have about Kent to

Kent's celebration of life was held on July 10, 2021, in Lewisville Park.
