In loving memory of James Andersen: 1938-2023

James “Jim” David Andersen was born on January 23, 1938 in Valhalla, New York to Victor Karl and Dorothea Karen Andersen. He moved with his mother and siblings to Conrad, Montana in his early years after the death of his father. He graduated from high school in Conrad and then attended Central Bible College in Springfield, Missouri then went onto New York City for trade school. 

Jim was a buyer for large department stores in the San Francisco area before moving to Battle Ground, Washington in 1973 when he married Mardonna. He was employed with Vancouver Furniture Co. for 20 years and his hobbies included church activities and family photography. 

Jim is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mardonna M. Andersen; son Donoven C. Rogers and his wife Patricia J. Rogers; son Ronald G. Rogers and his wife Christa K. Rogers; his five grandchildren and their spouses; and 19 great-grandchildren. 

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 20 at Heritage Church, 8803 NE 76th St., Vancouver, WA 98662.
