In loving memory of Jaclyn Horton: 8/5/1984 - 7/18/2022

Posted

Jaclyn Cheryl Horton (Jolma) was born in August of 1984 along with her twin brother, Jude, in Vancouver, Washington. They perfectly completed Jack and Char’s family and brought so much joy to their entire community as “The Jolma Twins.”

Jaclyn grew up to adore and always seek to be close to animals (especially horses) and nature. She had a thirst for knowledge and the desire to help others. She earned her bachelor's degree in community development graduating with honors from Portland State University.

Jaclyn had an adventurous heart and enjoyed hanging out with friends and family while discussing politics with those brave enough to do so with her. Jaclyn was the epitome of someone who wanted the world to be a better place. So much about her was observant and quiet in nature. She had an intellectual sense of humor and her husband Eric, said it was one of the many things he loved so much about her. Jaclyn was gentle but clear, wicked smart, humble, tender, strong, and gracious. She was a thoughtful gift giver and fierce protector of those she loved.

To her siblings she will forever be their sweetest little seester. The sound of her contagious laughter will always be in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to hear it and see the way she lit up a room.

Jaclyn is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Eric Horton and their beloved fur babies Brutys and Bella. She is also survived by her father Jack (Julie) Jolma, and her mother Char Jolma. She will be deeply missed by her siblings Luke (Meghan) Jolma, Heather (Brandon) Fray, Briana Jolma, Jude (Katie) Jolma and Alyssa Jolma. She was the beloved aunt to Max Fray, Reilly Jolma, Maisy Jolma, Natalie Jolma, Cooper Jolma, Boden Fray, Charlie Jolma, Archer and Aldon Jolma.

Jaclyn was preceded in death by our loving brother Brandon Jolma. It gives us great peace in knowing they are together again.
