In loving memory of DeLois Jungnickel: 1932-2022

DeLois Maxine Jungnickel passed away peacefully on Aug. 8, 2022, in Woodland, Washington. She was 90 years of age. 

She was born on Feb. 2, 1932, in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Samuel and Ellen Dyer. They later moved to Fresno, California, where she grew up until her teens. Her family then relocated to Woodland, Washington, where she attended high school. 

On Sept. 17, 1949, she married Doug Jungnickel in Woodland, Washington, and they had two daughters, Sandra and Peggy. 

DeLois was very artistic and loved growing outdoor and indoor flowers and plants. She also loved dogs and cats, but what she loved the most was being with her family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Sammy Dyer, sister Veloy Blair and husband Doug Jungnickel. 

DeLois is survived by her children, Sandra Infante (spouse Tom), Peggy DeAraujo (spouse Lonnie), several grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. 

Arrangements are under the care of Northwood Park Funeral Home in Ridgefield, Washington, where a private viewing will be held from noon to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, 2022. A burial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, at the Frank Abel Cemetery in Woodland, Washington, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:30 p.m. at the Woodland Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1300 Atlantic Ave., Woodland, Washington. A reception will follow.
