In loving memory of Cloyd 'Lyn' Nutter: 1945-2022

Posted

Cloyd “Lyn” Lynwood Nutter passed away on Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022, at his home in Battle Ground, Washington, lovingly surrounded by his family. He was born on Jan. 4, 1945, in Vancouver, Washington.

Lyn enjoyed spending time up in the mountains or at fhe family cabin on Swift Reservoir, hunting and fishing with friends and family. He and his wife, Karen, had many adventures throughout their time together, traveling around the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Lyn was full of adventure, lived life on the edge, and was never lacking in stories of his many exciting (and sometimes unbelievable) experiences. If there was an incredible memory to be made, he was making it.

During his 37 years in the sheet metal industry, Lyn worked for various companies in the Pacific Northwest and made many lifelong friends along the way.

Lyn was preceded in death by his father Gerald Nutter, his mother Alda Nutter, brother Ted Nutter, and granddaughters Hailey Nutter and McKyla Nutter.

Lyn is survived by his wife of 56 years Karen Nutter; his sister Aloma Cole (Vern); his sons Wade Nutter and Mike Nutter (Rheanna); grandson Derek Nutter; granddaughters Alyssa Nutter, Chloe Nutter and Makayla Cross-Storey; great-granddaughter Ella Mae, and many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a viewing prior to cremation from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 9, 2022, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver, Washington.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 15, 2022, at Bethany Vineyard & Winery in Ridgefield, Washington. Light refreshments will be served.
