Angela Ann Ahola Anthony, 55, of Yakima, Washington, passed away Jan. 17, 2022 after a valiant battle with COVID-19. Angela became a born-again Christian at an early age and lived her life for Jesus.
Angela was born June 16, 1966 to Mark and Linda Ahola in Vancouver, Washington. She attended Hockinson School and graduated from Prairie High School in 1984. Angela created AAA Bookkeeping in Vancouver, Washington, and later moved with her family to Naches, Washington and resided at the Flying H Boys Youth Ranch where she spent four pleasant years working as the secretary. She attended Yakima Valley Community College and Western Governors University receiving bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting.
The family relocated to Yakima, Washington where they purchased a home along Ahtanum Creek. She worked for Memorial Hospice and Home Care. Moving onto Yakima Valley Community College, she served as the grants and contract manager. She was the director of accounting and business services at the time of her passing.
Angela met Michael Anthony her senior year in high school and they were married on July 26, 1986 in Reno, Nevada. They have two incredible daughters, Alicia and Heather, and two granddaughters and two grandsons. She was a dedicated mother, wife and friend to all that knew her.
She loved visiting with friends and family, fishing and traveling with Michael in their motorhome. They just completed their second trip to Zion and Bryce Canyon two months prior to her passing. She loved sitting in the shade of her creek, reading, and watching the hummingbirds claim their territory around her deck. She loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren, who lovingly call her “gammy.”
She loved visiting with her parents with an anticipation of one day joining them in Montana.
Angela is survived by her husband Michael, her daughter Alicia Way and grandchildren Anna and Ben, and her daughter Heather Harvey and grandchildren Nathan and Linda.
She is also survived by her parents Mark and Linda Ahola, her brother Brandon Ahola, sister Yvette Tuttle, and grandfather Marion Wambach, as well as many cousins.
She is preceded by her brother Adam Ahola, her grandparents Alfred and Ruth Ahola, and grandmother Mary Wambach. Angela is also preceded by her mother-in-law Barbara Anthony Ballweber, her father-in-law Skip Ballweber, and her father-in-law Barney Anthony.

A celebration of Angela’s life will take place at 12 p.m. on Feb. 26, 2022 at Wiley Union Church, 2711 Wiley Road, Yakima, Washington, 98903.
There will be a graveside service on March 5 at 11 a.m. at Finn Hill Cemetery and a gathering at the Hockinson Community Church Annex located at 15918 NE 182nd Ave., Brush Prairie, Washington.
