Heavy rain, sloppy conditions, and a near hole-in-one made for fun golf between the girls of Battle Ground and Prairie

The Battle Ground Tigers girls golf team combined for a score of 64 in the modified Stableford scoring system for the second time in one week as they hit the links against Prairie High School on Thursday, March 27.

The Prairie Falcons do not have enough to field a team, but junior Lucia Hill scored 21 points, boosted by a five-point birdie on Tri-Mountain Golf Course’s par three-hole six as it came to a foot from the hole.

Battle Ground’s Clella Domke-Grimm scored a 21, and Ava Robertson scored 20 to lead the way for the Tigers.

Girls golf in the area in the regular season matches utilize a modified Stableford scoring system to keep pace of play with one point awarded for a triple-bogey, two points for a double-bogey and so on.
