A gingerbread house competition sponsored by the Ridgefield Community Gleaners Association will take place in the Ridgefield Community Library this December.
The Gingerbread House Festival event is free to enter. Participants may drop off their gingerbread houses between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Dec. 7 at the library, 210 N. Main Ave. Gingerbread house bases should not exceed 18 inches by 18 inches.
Three “people’s choice” awards will be presented to winners in four categories: first through third grade, fourth through sixth grade, middle/high school and adults. Businesses and non-profit organizations are welcome to submit entries, as well. The Ridgefield Main Street volunteer organization will present prizes to winners at 10 a.m. on Dec. 14.
