The community is invited to meet Clark County Fire District 3 (CCFD3) Chief Chris Drone during the district’s next “Coffee with the Chief” from 9 to 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, at Dev’s Coffee Bar, located at 316 E. Main St., Battle Ground.
Residents are welcome to ask questions and learn about current projects and upcoming plans for the district, a CCFD3 news release stated.
“We have a lot happening right now—and more coming up—that I’m excited to share,” Chief Drone said in the release. “Last month’s event had a great turnout, and I’d love to see both familiar and new faces at this one.”
The district is currently implementing improvements funded by a fire levy lid lift approved by voters in August 2024. Projects include hiring 13 new staff, expanding training programs and upgrading equipment and facilities to improve emergency response and community safety.
Fire District 3 also offers public education programs such as CPR classes, fire station tours and school visits.
